PUBLIC NOTICE
Special Service Plan No. 2026-02
For Special Service By-law No. 2026-002
The council of Rossburn Municipality has scheduled a public hearing
at the Drop-in Centre
53 Main Street N, Rossburn, MB on April 2, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. to
present the following special service plan:
To continue providing the collection and transportation of waste and recyclable materials in the urban centre of Rossburn, Sunset Point development and Rossman Lake resort, with these service costs recovered by a per parcel tax, levied on those properties receiving the service for 2026 and 2027, inclusive.
This proposal will replace Special Service By-law No. 2019-006 which expired at the end of 2025.
The estimated costs are $48,400 (2026) and $49,960 (2027).
The proposed per parcel tax rates are:

A copy of Special Service Plan No. 2026-02 is enclosed. Additional copies are available at the municipal office at 43 Main Street N, Rossburn, MB and on the municipal website at:https://www.rossburn.ca
A written objection to the Plan may be filed with the Chief Administrative Officer at 43 Main Street Box 10, Rossburn, MB R0J 1V0 by mail or in person, prior to the commencement of the hearing.
At the hearing, Council will hear any potential taxpayer who wishes to make a presentation, ask questions, or register an objection to the special service plan. All objections, written or verbal, must be filed prior to the adjournment of the hearing and must include the name, address and property description of the person filing the objection and the grounds of their objection.
